This page is added just for fun. We believe that horse shows should be fun too. If it's not fun for the people then it's not fun for the horse (and vice-versa!)
It was a dark and stormy night.... Oh wait, it was a horseshow - but it was dark and stormy! The 2010 Oktoberfest Walking Horse Show was a success despite the horrible weather. My clients and I ended up only showing on Sunday as I had a catch-lead for halter at Grand Nationals on Saturday. It was an interesting weekend to say the least! The DQP was fantastic! He understood what all of us were up against with the weather. We didn't have anywhere to warm up and the rain on a tin roof with wind blowing signs around was fun. The horses and people handled it well and everyone had some fun. Photos show Catamounts Calypso Belle with me showing Model (you can see the rain on my hat it was such bad weather!) and Donna Zermeno, one of our fantastic amateur riders showing under saddle. We came home with a championship, lots of firsts and a ton of ribbons! Calypso is owned by Rancho Nogotta - Gene & Diane Steele.

2006 TWHBEA Show at Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Catamounts Calypso Belle (SSH mare) owned by Diane & Gene Steel. Diane's daughter, Darlene is up. Over a short 2-day show, Darlene and Calypso placed in all but 1 of their classes, bringing home 2 firsts, 5 seconds, 2 thirds and 2 reserve championships. And, this was only their 3rd show together! Congratulations! Photos were taken at the end of a very long day!
